Extendable Towing Mirrors for the 75, 76, 78, 79 Series Toyota Landcruiser
The 70 Series Landcruiser is one of the most popular of Toyota’s 4WD vehicles. It was first produced in 1984 and is still one of the Toyota’s top sellers to the present day. It replaced the 25-year-old 40 Series as the off-road workhorse of the Land Cruiser heritage.
These models from 1984 (HZJ/FZJ) to current VDJ Series now have the 4WD accessory every touring driver needs….extendable towing mirrors! The latest release of the Taurus Mirrors is a slightly different design to that of our 100 Series and 200 Series Landcruiser, now offering a squarer design mirrors which compliments the Landcruisers shape.
Because the 70 Series is one of the choice vehicles to take offroad, these extendable mirrors incorporate a robust aluminium base which is designed to be fixed to where the existing strap mirrors are mounted. If your model does not have the strap mirrors an additional fitting kit is supplied to secure the base to the door.
Its often commented that the size of the factory mirrors on the 70 Series make it really tough to see clearly of what’s in the rear view when towing a caravan, boat, motorbikes or even if you have a custom tray with integrated toolboxes. The improved vision and flexibility installing extendable mirrors will have you wondering why you left it this long!
